Odense is the 3rd biggest city in Denmark, and there, once again, we had to realize an interesting pipe bridge project, for a big heat-pump installation.
Our task was to design structural solutions that would allow 45 m pipelines to be placed between the two buildings of one of the largest industrial plants operating on the island of Fuen.
Our bridge is supported on the walls of both buildings. An additional leg has been placed in the middle of the structure.
In addition to the steel structure design, we performed all necessary calculations and simulations that are in accordance with European standards, the so-called Eurocodes. The calculations allowed to optimize the weight of the entire structure with keeping the same requested deflection by customer. The 45 meter long bridge supporting the four pipelines weighs only 30 tons.
The design was carried out by our design office in Poland – Runarsson Engineering, while production was carried out by our production facility in Denmark –
Runarsson A / S. The assembly went smoothly and our bridge already serves a satisfied customer.
